It is appalling. The abundant mistruth posts and attention to areas of a budget, or "P&L" that are posted on a campaign page. The bigger obvious issue, is the censorship of deleting posts, and comments on that same page, when rebuttals or proof of deceptions are pointed out. As voters, doing your own education, that simply cannot be overlooked. Hiding things, cutting off the bottom 3/4 of a page, to spread a false statement, is simply a campaign with no future.
The issue with Mr. Fugate and his business "knowledge" and "practices" is a huge reason people should honestly look past his fame and fortune, and notoriety, and not vote for him because he goes to your church, or he sold you a car, or he bought a large building and sold it for profit--and claimed to "bring jobs to the area" by doing such an investment. Voting should be, as a democracy allows, a powerful statement of your choice for a future voice. In this case, it would be a voice of confusion. As he has no clue how "critical access hospital" billing, profits, line by lines, and "Paper losses" actually work.
Here is the bread and butter. In short, but in honesty, word by word. Harold at the meeting was very adamant that the CEO was making choices that cost the community the Dr. they were used to, and complained that people were asking him where (he- the Dr) went? Issue with that, he implied the revolving door of Doctors, Providers and such, leaving or being forced to do so. Well, Harold, how about your business? You are actively seeking technicians with offers of bonus' to come to work at your business. Where are the techs from the past? The one's maybe your customers were used to? You have a revolving door perhaps?
But here is the issue, with your "profitable business". When I was in business, and I sure do wish I still could be... a very aged man, a Veteran of a terrible war, visited your location and was informed his wife's vehicle was "Unsafe to drive any further, immediately needs repairs". (I doubt you personally stated this to that customer, or typed it on your business repair quote) however, you control your business model??? SO that customer was quoted NEARLY $2,000.00 in repairs. And again, it was necessary, vital, and highly dangerous to drive as he was told. So he asked for another quote. And shops are different, but with all parts quoted to be replaced, it was under 600.00 at a shop down the road. Huge difference, but here is the biggest issue. The vehicle was in excellent shape. *The vehicle did NOT NEED ANY of the repairs quoted. And it is KNOWN to this very day... that vehicle still operates safely, with no money spent, or parts changed.
So it is not alarming, that you and your wife are spreading the false claim that "Even in a not-for-profit setting, critical care access hospitals like CCMH should always strive for at least a small profit".
As it was stated, they simply *cannot, on the operations line of the papers. But since you apparently trained your team to push for profits, even if not accurate, it again, should really stick out to people exercising their beautiful right to vote. Who IS, the RIGHT choice on that ballot... and to sooo many, who I personally urge to go vote on April 2nd!!! It is NOT you...
To the current board members of CCMH I personally Thank You,
and Mr. Bozarth, you have incredible patience. Mr. Nichols, Thank you for your leadership and obvious dedication to the patients, the STAFF and the FUTURE of CCMH while we are lucky enough to have you.
