Toyota Camry came in with a crank no start condition. Removed timing belt cover to inspect and found timing belt very loose with no tension and cam gears not spinning. Luckily this engine is not interference and was salvageable. In other cases the valves would have contacted the pistons and would have needed an engine replacement. Found culprit of the issue to be timing belt tensioners bolts had snapped and the tensioner had left the chat. Important to stay on top of routing maintenance! Don’t wait until it’s too late to service your timing components!

Customer states vehicle has to be jump started every other day. Customer replaced the battery with the same result. Tested the alternator and found it not charging within specification. Performed a parasitic draw test and it passed. Nothing was draining the battery with the vehicle off. Alternator was soaked in engine oil due to a valve cover leak and vtec rocker arm solenoid assembly leaking onto it. While valve covers were off customer let us perform the valve lash adjustment that is recommended every 100k miles on Hondas. After vtec solenoid, valve cover gaskets and alternator replacement the vehicle is no longer leaking oil and charging in specification.
