Really need to update this page more often. Been super active in Surfski Kayak racing for the last year, and need to get back into everything else before too long.

In the meantime, I needed some custom racks for my new ride, so I made a few extra for some friends while I was at it.

Fun edit of the Hanohano Ocean Challenge 2025 Long Course I raced this past weekend in Mission Bay.

With almost 900 contestants between the short and long courses, it’s one of the largest paddle events in the country.

Worth a watch…

I got a chance to be on the water paddling with David Charbonnet and Beyond the Teams yesterday. Inspiring is a gross understatement.

I’m going to be looking forward to helping him with this journey however possible, and possibly even try to bring a two man kayak program to the team with Michael Everett someday.

As many of you know… I retired medically from the teams after a couple of bad parachute accidents turned my career upside down. It is extremely easy for me to squint a little and find myself in the same injury condition as David.

As you all are considering end of year money and contributions… Beyond the Teams is an excellent organization and a great non-profit. It would be a great consideration for you or your businesses.

It’s rare that I rave about a mechanic, but had a great experience today.

Took the advice of a few others on a Mini page and brought my 2013 R55 to Sebastian at Marco Polo Independent BMW and Mini in La Jolla today for a new water pump, crossover, thermostat, pulley and tr**ny oil change. Extremely reasonable on price, and I called him for the first time at 9 in the morning and picked it up finished at 5:30.

I thought it was the timing chain but he steered me clear of that after an inspection and got me pointed the right direction.

I couldn’t be more impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and work ethic.

They are gonna get all my work from now on, even if I have to drive from East County to do it. With this kind of service and pricing, I’m going to even have them do the oil changes etc….

Two thumbs way up. If you have a European import in San Diego, these are your guys. Joe and Sebastian were the bomb.

If anyone is in Ventura at the end of the month, you can come see our mine countermeasure product in action.

Getting back into it, we are hitting the Fathomwerx event in Port Hueneme later this month if anyone is in the Ventura area and wants to swing by. Pretty good chance there will be some surfing and cocktails at the RV park after hours as we are staying on the beach in Point Mugu.

Hey folks… looking to get my carpets cleaned in San Diego. They are essentially brand new, with premium padding and stain protection and I want to keep them that way. Want to hit the high traffic areas to keep them perfect. No stains or problems… just maintenance.

Also want to hit some fabric furniture at the same time.

Anyone have a solid recommendation for professional carpet cleaning in the area?

Let’s go racing!

This crew is going to campaign two cars in the  at The Mint 400 race next weekend in Vegas! The red car will be supporting the SEAL Family Foundation again this year, and the black car (that I’ll be in) will be supporting our good friends at the Forever Frogmen Foundation. Both of these charities are near and dear to our hearts, and phenomenal causes.

Right now, (with a massive head start) our buddies at Warfighter Made are crushing us on the fundraising effort, but we start today.

I will be putting up links and details at www.twofrogsracing.com for both teams today, but we should be live at the Mint’s website with our charities soon as well.

Lastly, I will be donating a set of XP80 lights that were custom made for us with Tridents engraved with American flags. These will light the way for us on our night laps, and will be a giveaway at the end of the race. Anyone who donates $100 will be entered to win. The more multiples of $100, the greater your chances!!! They are killer lights for a great cause and I’ll get a picture up shortly. Please share!!!

Got to draw a lucky winner last night, a fellow SEAL I haven’t met yet named Brian Parks. The entry list is full of awesome stories that I have shared with , and , and we want to extend the challenge to everyone who joined… and anyone who still wants to join at the link in my bio at twofrogsracing.com. This is a great opportunity to get everyone you tagged up and running into archery whether you lend them a bow that’s collecting dust, or help them find a used or new setup… we know that they are nibbling, so let’s set the hook! Anyone local to San Diego is welcome to come by the range and have a taste using my guest bows I can set up for you, and all are welcome to join us for our archery range days and out at the races and events as well. I suspect that the King of the Hammers races this year will have a few more arrows zinging in the background hills than ever before as and with welcome , , Gwen and out to see what we are so passionate about come February!
