When it warms up to a set temperature it will automatically switch to CNG. If the CNG tank should run empty while driving, the system would automatically switch back to gasoline. hile driving. We use type IV carbon fiber tanks. The tank is required to be fitted in the bed of pickups, covered from sun and damage. We also cover the tanks with a steel tank cover. There are filters that get changed at regular intervals. The high pressure filter is changed after the first 15,000 miles and every 30,000 thereafter at a cost of $80. The low pressure filter is changed at the first 15,000 miles and every 30,000 miles thereafter at a cost of $150. TAX CREDIT!!! The state of Oklahoma has a tax credit available for individuals that pay state taxes. The tax incentive is for 50% of the total cost of the conversion. The link to download the forms are:
