When sized and installed correctly, our adapters DO NOT LEAK! Joe Gitthens, founder and inventor of AutoPlumb. I'm a car guy, I was raised on the race track with my dad and brother and have been drag racing my entire life. Not so much now since my brother passed away and with AutoPlumb requiring much of my time and attention. I've also been a barber by trade since my late 20's and part of a family owned business that is still operating today. At age 67, I had the idea to invent our flagship product, -20AN Radiator Adapter...it had been on my mind for quite some time. One day we were out on our boat and I started taking pictures of the boat. My wife ask me what I was doing and I told her, "I think I'm going to go for it"! Let's sell the boat and take the money, invest it in my idea and see where it goes...if it goes nowhere, all we lose is the boat, if it works out, this can be our retirement. We formed a partnership with Aeroflow Performance through a guy named Cheynne Williams by having conversations about using their hose and hose ends to connect the adapters to the cooling system. We officially met the team at the PRI show in Indianapolis December 2016 and from there, with a handshake, found our manufacturer. We officially sold our first adapter in August of 2018 and have since sold over 12,000 adapters with no reports of failure when sized and installed correctly. We have since added multiple sizes in our -20 and -16AN with plans for even more sizes in the future. We are still a very small family owned business with our first full time employee. Our son Riley graduated from OSU in May of 2025 with a degree in Construction Management Engineering and had many options available to him for his future, but he chose to join me, his 76 year old dad, to help me grow AutoPlumb and I couldn't be more proud of hm and grateful for his dedication and enthusiasm to work alongside me. We pride ourselves on legendary customer service.
