Before you buy a TRX, look at what $25,000 less gets you.

The 2027 Ram 1500 RHO starts at $74,995 before destination. The TRX starts at $99,995. Here's what they share:
- 35-inch tires
- Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shocks
- 13 inches of front travel and 14 in the rear
- 11.8 inches of ground clearance

The TRX gets the 777 hp supercharged V8. The RHO gives you 540 hp from a twin-turbo inline-six, and new for 2027, a standard 360-degree camera.

Before you buy either one:
1. Decide based on how you'll actually use it.
2. Measure your garage. It's wider than a regular Ram.
3. Get an insurance quote before you sign.

Parents, this one's for you. Our youngest critic toured the kids room at Payne Edinburg CDJR and gave it a failing grade: no toys, no crayons, no paper, no rug, and the news on the TV. Fair. Thank you to every Jeep owner who came out for our first Jeepaween on October 11.

A Jurassic Park Jeep. A highlighter-yellow Minions build on the tallest lift of the day. A Mad Max apocalypse rig with a manual transmission. Not one of them looked the same.

The day wasn't about selling anything. It was food, music, local vendors, costume contests for the kids, and a best-dressed Jeep competition, all for the Jeep community here in Edinburg.

The V8 Wrangler is here at Payne Edinburg CDJR. A 2027 Jeep Wrangler Willys 392 with a 6.4L HEMI V8 making 470 horsepower, 35-inch tires and a factory leather interior, about $76,000 as equipped. If you run a small business out of a pickup bed, you might be leaving room, and money, on the table.

A Ram 1500 with a 6'4" bed gives you about 61 cubic feet of cargo space, open to the weather. A high-roof 2026 Ram ProMaster gives you up to 463, enclosed and lockable, with 77 inches of height so you can stand up inside.

What else you get:
- 3.6L Pentastar V6, 276 hp
- Front-wheel drive, so the load floor sits low and is easier on your back
- Up to 4,750 lb of payload and 6,910 lb of towing, properly equipped

What the new Hurricane 4 brings:
- 324 hp and 332 lb-ft, more than the V6 it replaces
- Still tows 6,200 lb
- 20 city / 25 highway mpg

And the Summit interior is why people pay for it: quilted Palermo leather, massaging front seats, and a 19-speaker McIntosh sound system.

Before you buy one:
1. Shop the 2026 and 2027 side by side. Leftover 2026s are usually where the bigger discounts are.
2. Look one step down. A Limited with the Reserve package may give you most of what you want for less.
3. Test drive it from a stop, not just on the highway.

Before you buy:
1. Don't panic. The 5.7 isn't sold out for good, and the next ordering window is expected around March 2027.
2. Watch for markups. Shop more than one dealer and get the out-the-door price in writing.

4. Know it's quad cab only, with a tighter back seat and up to 1,160 lb of payload.

A 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer can cost anywhere from the low $60s to more than $100,000. Here's how to make sure you're paying for what you actually want.

Before you walk into any dealership:

1. Ask about incentives. They change month to month and can be worth thousands.
2. Decide if you really need 4x4. Two-wheel drive can save about $3,000.
3. Negotiate the out-the-door price, not the monthly payment.
4. Ask for every add-on in the finance office to be priced separately.
