We have had one of these listed for $4500 for two months….I think maybe it just needs to be on an airplane..

1986 Chevy Wrecker. 64k miles. Had the needle buried for 100 miles with one arm on the window holding that wheel and the other on the bench….smiling like a teenager with his first truck. She is a gem…a real survivor and she just might be ‘the one’….made me real happy. Big thanks to Barry Cornwell in Montpelier, Va.

This is our project nicknamed Big Red. This is a frame up 1987 short bed 4x4 Silverado build. All new interior, new sheet metal all over. New door, hinges, Seals, sweeps, and felts. 454 big block with Holly sniper system. (it was begging for a big block).
She is getting built now, and just waiting for her new forever home to drop a deposit on her. Customer work has kept us busy so it has been slow going, but we are at the point where I am going to start posting some regular updates.

Last October, Melissa and Ben Jones from Rockbridge Bath, Va were driving past the shop here and noticed a short bed truck that we had sitting out front. It had a 4.3 L engine and was low miles. We were selling it as is and Ben decided to buy it on the spot and drive it home. I did not know that it was because it reminded him of his dad’s truck until Melissa took the time to send us an awesome note on Facebook messenger.
The truck overheated on them on the way home, and we sent a tow truck to help out. Well…. Ben took matters in his own hands and the truck now has an LS3 Corvette motor in it and he is cruising the back roads remembering his dad, and letting the truck soothe some old hurts.
This is the great equalizer at Square Body Central. It is all about the experience, the build, the nostalgia, and the smiles per gallon.

77 IHC Scout II is almost at the finish line.  almost the entire truck has been taken apart and put back together, (with painting and gobs of welding in between) so we are working out the electrical gremlins…then inspection and it’s headed home.

Update on the 1977 International Scout II:
At long last the metal work was completed, body was blocked out, and it made its way into the paint booth at the end of last week. We should be painting the top of white and getting the white bucket seats installed this week.
Bed is Raptor Liner in White, Body is factory 6772 Glacier Blue Chromabase
This one has been a long haul!

Well… we finally found a Rollback that speaks to us. This old girl is going to be the most beloved SquareBody rollback that was ever here. It’s a 1977 round eye square body and has a beautiful old school super heavy aluminum bed.  keep an eye out for updates as we build this old girl and put her back to work.

Update on the 1977 International Scout II (Terra or Traveler 118” wheelbase).
Well…. She is running good and has all new floorboards, body mounting points, body stiffeners, rubber body mounts, new brakes, front and rear, new brake cables, and the list goes on and on.
Her momma wants her dressed up so we are tearing this old girl down for paint. 6772 Gacier Blue (pricey and hard to find).  all new sheet metal for the rear quarters is on the way here from California.

The kit from AEM allows for a rear drive unit from a Tesla Model S/X to be bolted to the back of a C10 pickup with no welding required.

Cannonball Run Project: QA1 Coilover setup is installed! Wilwood brakes did not live up to their reputation but nothing a bit of shaving the new $1300 brakes couldn’t fix.

“Cannonball Run” Project Update : QA1 Coilover conversion is coming along. Rear has the adaptor cover installed and a fresh coat of paint. ‘Sam I Am’ is installing the aftermarket fuel rails, and the Wilwood disc brake conversion for front and rear.

Next one we put out is this beauty. Code name: “Snow White”. Sam is going through the mechanicals, popping a new carb on her, new water pump, changing all the fluids, etc. This old girl has a roaring nasty Stroker motor under the hood.
There’s a couple of small jobs for the body shop, then a bedliner and some paint correction.
Last, we have all new interior to put in right before she hits the finish line.
It’s gonna be a nice one….
