Ed-Co Work Study

I completed my work-study at Edgewood Auto and Tire in Edgewood, Iowa, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance. During my time there, I developed a wide range of skills, including tire changes, alignments, oil changes, rail-truck services, U-joint replacements, brake work (both pads and drums), wheel bearings, timing components, exhaust repairs, transmissions, and electrical/wiring systems.

What I enjoyed most about working at Edgewood Auto and Tire was the opportunity to deepen my understanding of how vehicles operate and the reasoning behind different mechanical systems. I also appreciated learning practical tips and techniques from the experienced mechanics, Tim, John, Casey, and Toby, whose guidance helped me grow both technically and professionally.

I am grateful to Edgewood Auto and Tire for providing me with the opportunity to complete my work-study at their shop and for the knowledge and experience I gained during my time there.
