Cole had a good Feature race. He ended up starting 9th, had a good start, was running in 8th with 2 other cars and lost a hood pin. The officials had him come in to the pits, checked it(which I am glad they did)and sent him back out. He ended up finishing 16th of 22. He drove an amazing race and the car was fast, even with the wind lift on the hood.

Cole ran the 7th fastest lap time in the Sprint race, so he should start 7th in the Feature.

Cole did well today qualifying. He finished 11th of 21 cars in the first session and 12th in the 5 lap qualifying race. Tomorrow he will run his 20 minute Sprint race and 30 minute Feature race.

So the school year is over and Cole is on to his junior year. He finished the year with all A's and one B in Algebra 2 honors. He works so hard to do well in school, goes to the gym every day and iraces at night. I think we will celebrate...with a race! Back to Sebring for the Love Bug Dash Double SARRC! No, he isn't driving the RV just yet. He will be 16 in July though!

Cole did a great job this weekend. After a rough day Saturday in the sprint, we rebuilt the car as well as we could Saturday night. He started in the back of the first race Sunday(28th) to feel the car out and finished 15th.In the second race he started 21st, worked his way up to 16th, then had an unfortunate spin, recovery, and worked back up to a 17th place finish. Thanks to Mike Phillips(Evan Phillips Racing) for setting up the car,Team Kinley Racing, EMS Fabrication and Restoration , Tom Ryerson and Todd Buras for the support. Not too bad for a 15 year old kid in his first Pro Spec Miata race with some of the best drivers in the country!

Cole opted to start in the back of the race this morning to feel out his car after the late night rebuild. He drove it from 28th to a 15th place finish. Proud of the effort he gives on the track, no matter what! Thanks to Team Kinley Racing and Tom Ryerson for the help rebuilding, as well as Todd Buras and Cory Collum for the advice and parts. The last race of the weekend will start at 1:05.

Spent the weekend replacing all of the suspension on the new Spec Miata car, installed some gauges, Evan painted the top. We are getting closer...next will be the motor and transmission! Cole got to spend the weekend hanging out with his buddy Reagan, too!

Cole had a great weekend at Roebling Road Raceway. Despite the constant threat of rain, it did hold off until Sunday afternoon when we got a little shower just as the Miatas were getting ready to go out. It was a double SARRC race so they had a 20 minute qualifying session Saturday followed by a 30 minute race, then another 20 minute qualifying on Sunday with a 30 minute race. The class is very competitive and Cole was able to improve his lap times and position each session. It was also our first race with the new data acquisition system, which was very helpful to review laps through graphs and video. He finished 11th Saturday and 10th Sunday in a field of 24 Miatas. Thanks to Keystone Repairs LLC, EMS Fabrication and Restoration , Team Kinley Racing , Evan Phillips Racing .

Not exactly the way we wanted to end the weekend, but the Miatas were racing...well...like Miatas. Cole was running second right on the bumper of the leader, the car in third came under Cole into the hotel turn(hairpin) and the fourth place car behind Cole. He got a little sideways( he may have had a little help 🤷) and was hit by the car that was behind him. The entire class had a little talking to.😬

First two races down for the weekend. He started 4th and finished 5th, unfortunately he jumped the start a little, so that cost him a 15 second penalty. The second race he started 5th there was a battle into the first few turns and he jumped to second, ultimately finishing a hard earned 3rd for his first podium in Spec Miata!

Cole had another successful weekend at Sebring with NASA. He progressed to Hpde 3 on Saturday despite the rain. On Sunday even though we only got 3 runs, and one was only one lap, he still set a new personal best lap time! He gets better every time he goes out. Thanks to Keystone Repairs, EMS Fabrication and Restoration and Team Kinley Racing for the continued support.

Cole had another fantastic weekend at Sebring for the Finale on the short course. He continues to exceed expectations every race. He ran faster lap times, executed clean passes through traffic and raced hard for position. He ended up 7th overall and 3rd in class in his Sprint race; 9th overall and 4th in class in his Feature race. Congratulations to Nicole Hecker on her 2nd place finish. Thanks to our sponsors Keystone Repairs LLC, England Motorsports and Bill's Cold Beer and Team Kinley Racing ! Bill, Marc and Kaelyn always come to support us even when they don't have a car to race. Hopefully soon! Our next SCCA race will be in January at Sebring!

Cole finished 3rd in class and 7th overall today in his Sprint race! It was a tough battle all race and he did an incredible job!
