Another crazy day in the Fast Lane today when a small plane landed on I-78 @ mm 45 and we got the call to recover it and transport it to Queen City Airport in Allentown. We are used to making cars fly with the Rotator but today we were able give a plane a ride! Some of our challenges included the wheels were 135 inches apart but the rollback is only 108 inches! We came up with a plan to lift and winch the aircraft onto our industrial rollback without compromising the fuselage and secured it for transport. Next, the wing span was 35 feet so a slow procession with a police es**rt was needed to get it off the highway while steering around road signs and other obstacles along the way. The Fast Lane crew did an amazing job with the recovery and 15 mile tow without a scratch! The pilot did an amazing job of landing on the highway as well!

For the sake of ALL emergency responders including Tow Operators….please please please stay off the roads tonight and tomorrow. Stay home, stay safe and let those responders do the same. NO amount of money is worth these drivers laying on the side of the road in this and risking lives. Let the plow trucks do their work and without obstacles. That’s all the sooner the roads can get cleared. No one will starve without a glass of milk or slice of bread. Be smart. Emergencies only should be out. Stay safe everyone! 🙏🏻

Please stay home and off the roads!!! If you are not an emergency worker or in an emergency you have no need to be out. Please keep our first responders safe. Despite everyone’s belief that we can’t wait for these storms, it is in fact completely opposite. We are hoping for not one call tonight or into tomorrow. Would rather all of our people stay safe and warm at home. It’s treacherous and dangerous despite absolutely freaking freezing. Please stay off the roads and encourage others to as well. Thank you from all of us in this industry.

Don’t say you can’t park there because they obviously did! Every day is a new adventure! Rotator job in the city of Bethlehem to recover a “stolen“ vehicle that lost control and crashed, rolling over and landing on another vehicle and against the house where it then caught fire. The occupants must’ve been late for work because they crawled out and ran from the scene!
