Project Rewind-Talbot County: According to the “Easton Album” by Norman Harrington 1986, William Turbutt, deputy surveyor of Talbot County
under Robert Diggs Esq. surveyor general for the Eastern Shore, laid out the road to the landing at Easton Point Easton, Maryland in 1711! At that time the point was known as “Cowe Landing”. Notice that the Tred Avon River railroad trestle and the Easton Point Steamboat dock were still intact in this c.1930 Talbot Historical Society H. Robins Hollyday Collection photo.
