Safety tips! Also make sure to stay on scene if you’ve been in an accident & wait for help to arrive. Try to move your vehicle out of the travel lane, keep your hazard lights on & if there is no safe parking lot or sidewalk to wait on, stay inside your vehicle with lights on and seatbelts fastened. If you ever need to call 9-1-1 in an emergency, there are a few things you should know:

✅The dispatcher will ask you about the emergency: Where you are, they will confirm your phone number & ask what’s happening.
✅Keep in mind that answering the dispatcher’s questions will not delay the arrival of help.
✅Most importantly, stay on the phone until the 9-1-1 dispatcher tells you to hang up. This ensures that the dispatcher has all the necessary information to send help.

It looks like we will once again be getting some snow tomorrow. Please use caution when driving, the roads will be slippery. If possible, stay off the roads to allow the DPW time to clear them.

Winter weather advisory over night tonight! Don’t forget to prep your car and increase your following distances on wet or slippery roads.

Winter Weather is here! We all know even the most seasoned New Englander can have a tough time driving in the snow. Here are some tips to stay safe on the roads:
- Always defrost your windshield before traveling
- Remove all snow and ice from your windshield, hood, and roof
- Slow Down
-Avoid risky driving
- Don't crowd the plow or travel beside the truck
- Check your tire pressure, windshield wipers, and lights
- Be aware of carbon monoxide poisoning, clear snow around your exhaust pipe

This winter be proactive, prepared, and safe.

We’re back! Phillip and I shared a beautiful wedding with family and friends last week. Thank you for your understanding of our time away & to those of you who sent us well wishes! Plan ahead for 2022, license exam (road tests) will require you to provide your own vehicle (just like pre-COVID).

At Berkshire Driving School, we offer vehicle rental and sponsorship services. Please email us for details. [email protected]

Applicants scheduled for testing through a driving school should confirm they have access to the school’s vehicle for the road test, the RMV said.

Good news for Easthampton 8/2/21. The article states all transactions will still be by appointment only & masks must be worn. It is unclear if they will start conducting road tests again from this location, at this time.

EASTHAMPTON – After being closed throughout the course of the pandemic, the Easthampton Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) will officially reopen to the public on Aug. 2.
