ACTION GLASS NEEDS YOUR HELP SETTLING A VERY SERIOUS SHOP DEBATE

We install windshields.
We build work vans.

It all started because one of our guys was accused of having absolute THUNDER CALVES (Which he does)… but is bigger better?

It's time for another Get to Know the Crew, and this time we're putting Steve in the hot seat.

Steve has been part of Action Glass for 25 years. When his parents bought the shop, he already knew his way around cars, they asked him to come work... and here he made his home away from home.

If there's a strange job, a difficult sunroof, a panoramic roof, or something nobody else wants to touch, there's a pretty good chance Steve is the guy figuring it out.

But after 25 years, when we asked him what the best part of working here was, his answer wasn't the cars or the difficult jobs.

“The people. The people I work with.”

Of course, those same people better PUT HIS TOOLS BACK WHERE THEY FOUND THEM.

Outside the shop? Golf. Then some more golf. And if he has to choose between a perfect day at work and a bad day on the golf course... apparently we're on our own. LOL

25 years of experience, countless vehicles, and a whole lot of knowledge.

SOME BUILDS ARE ABOUT MORE THAN THE VEHICLE.

Today, as we remember the courage, sacrifice, service, and unity that September 11th represents, we're proud to share a project centered around something we could all use a little more of:

CONNECTION.

The Revere Police Department came to us with a vision for the C.A.R.E. Wagon. A vehicle designed not simply to serve a community, but to help bring one together.
A place for families.
A place for kids.
A place for resources, conversations, laughter… and maybe an ice cream or two.
Our team at Action Glass had the privilege of helping turn an empty BrightDrop into that vision.

To the Revere Police Department, thank you for trusting our team to play a part in something with such an incredible purpose. We can't wait to see where the C.A.R.E. Wagon goes from here and the lives it touches along the way.

And today, we remember those we lost, honor those who answered the call, and recognize the men and women who continue to serve their communities every day.

MEET THE ACTION TEAM
RICH
We thought it was time you got to know some of the people behind Action Glass, and who better to start with than the boss?

Richard has spent an incredible 60 years in the industry, and when we asked what he's most proud of at Action Glass, his answer was simple:
''Our commitment to customer service, solving problems for our customers, and the quality of the work that leaves our shop.''

One thing becomes pretty obvious after talking with Rich, he never stops learning. He's always looking for a new idea, a better way to do something, or another project to tackle. That doesn't stop when he leaves the shop either. Over the years he's flipped houses, owned apartments, and still enjoys woodworking, electrical work, plumbing, landscaping, and just about anything that lets him work with his hands.

When he actually does sit still... Give him a beach, some water to look at, and preferably a good steak or some seafood.

After six decades, it's still about learning, improving, building relationships, and taking care of people.
Now you know a little more about the man behind Action Glass.

Ever wonder how a work vehicle can keep the A/C, heat and accessories running… without leaving the engine on?

Dan gives us a quick look at a ZeroRPM Idle Mitigation System and explains how it works.

When the vehicle goes into idle mitigation, the engine can shut down while an onboard lithium battery system continues powering necessary accessories. The system can also support climate control, helping keep the cab comfortable while reducing unnecessary engine idle time.

Pretty impressive technology, especially for vehicles that spend a lot of time working while parked.
