ROOKIE DAY & PRACTICE RAINED OUT for tomorrow 4/25

ROOKIE SCHOOL RESCHEDULED TO NEXT SATURDAY 5/2 with kart & bike practice.
Large storm system extending from Alabama into upper Canada arriving tomorrow according to all sources. 10 AM 49 degrees & 100% probability of rain, 90% mid day, 70 % at 2.

Very sorry to those in Rookie School, we had hoped we could have it under the covered grid, but the amount of rain expected & low temp put an end to that idea.

Looking good for Racing Sunday as system will pass with warmer weather & no rain.

Not a great day for practice as expected, so calling a "weather out"- no practice today 4/19. Cold, 39-44 during practice hours, future radar showing rain, showers & some snow. Glad lots took advantage of the great day yesterday. Next Sat is Rookie School, but karts & bikes invited. Mike will be doing off track instruction first, so suggest karts & bikes get on track first thing @10. Later when he needs it, I'll closely coordinate with Mike, giving rookies priority & getting others on track as much as possible. Thanks.

It's a go for practice tomorrow! 4/18. Been following that weather front moving in Sat. General forecasts may say 70% chance of rain for the day- but dig deeper & all sources & radar agree to late afternoon, 3PM only 20%, 4PM 40%, 5PM 60%. And highs in the upper 70s! (Sun. no chance) Going to open gates early at 8:30 & have a table set out for filling out Memberships & the double sided Yearly minor form for those couldn't make the meeting. If I have your forms, go straight to registration. Timing system working great, but please remember to bring your charged & mounted transponders so we can check your database information on the track saving time on Race #1. Going to open gates early at 8:30 for forms, same 10 for engines. Track cleaned this week, but could use an early person to blow the track off with our new super charged backpack blower. As usual, if things change I'll put out messages at 7AM on website, Facebook & mass email.
Don't miss this one!

OPENING WEEKEND! - Practice this coming weekend, Sat 18th & Sun 19th. Right now weather looks good at Avon for Sat 18th, possible rain late in the day so get there early. Not great for Sun, but it's still early. I'll track 72 hr Avon radar as we get closer to the weekend. As usual, I'll post a rainout at 7AM if the day looks bad. Remember, Avon weather can be quite different than Rochester, so don't put too much weight on general forecasts.

ROOKIE DAY: Sat 25th. Karts and bikes invited, but rookies will have priority for the track when they need it. Asphalt pit area dedicated to Rookie School.

RACE #1 Sun 26th. The timing system has been thoroughly checked with track transponders. Remember practice #1 is largely designated to ensuring that all driver transponders are registering & under appropriate name.

SAFETY CHECK: Check your kart thoroughly for safety items by going through the NKA checklist. Karts will be inspected on the grid. Please review the previous post on helmets, since this is a year when some certifications will expire.

REGISTRATION FORMS TABLE: Will have a separate table for filling out forms prior to registration. (Payment at registration will be accepted for those who filled out membership forms at the Membership and Rules meeting)

Please remember cards and phones are preferred. This dramatically reduces time and effort required later and makes the entire process at registration much more efficient. If you don't have access to phone or card payment, please have exact cash.

ANNUAL NKA MINOR FORMS: Parents, please remember the double sided annual minor form. Kids 5-7 will need a copy of birth certificate submitted.

TRANSPONDERS: Please charge & mount if you're coming to a practice. We can verify function, or fix a problem during practice, shortening the time required during practice #1 on race day. We have a new tower volunteer who will be learning the system beginning with Sat 18th practice!

PURCHASE TRANSPONDERS: Please make every effort to purchase your own transponders. Again, this makes the entire race process more efficient and it will pay for itself in a single year.

RESERVED PARKING SPOTS: Members only. Same $100. Please email to [email protected] if you wish to continue renting the same spot this season, include parking spot number. (disregard if already communicated) Email also if interested in renting a vacant spot and we'll put you on a first come first serve list.

2026 RULEBOOK: Drafts will be circulated to track officials for review and suggestions and will be released shortly.

PRICES: Remain same except transponder rental now at $25, driver's license left at registration.
-Bike practice prices remain the same, as well as our mutual sponsorship continuing in 2026 with Moto Z, with bike membership, including a membership card worth 15% off at Moto Z and a voice in track operations & surface repairs consistent with bike practices.
Special Event pricing is arranged with the event organizer.

WEEKDAY PRACTICES: Members in good standing only, or with special permission. Currently limited to 2 specific days, we're seeking permission from the town to run 2 weekday practices on varying days.
NKA requires a person be present with some formal emergency certification in their background who is capable of properly handling injuries, and emergencies until an ambulance arrives. This person or another designated person will be in charge of the weekday event, enforcing rules, getting waiver signatures and funds, and opening and closing the track.
Entry level coaching will be available during the week once the school year ends, or by special arrangement.

REMINDERS:
NUMBERS & PANELS
Karts must have 4 numbers, front, each side & rear. Front must be at least 6” high, black, no fancy fonts, on a 9 x 7 contrasting panel, yellow or white. Required for computer timing

CHEST PROTECTORS
All rookie and junior drivers up to 13 years in all divisions are required to wear a chest protection device with the following; SFI specification 20.1. Up to 8 Years (actual age): SFI 20.1/1 9-13 (actual age): SFI 20.1/2. Rib protection highly recommended.

CAMERAS: Not permitted on or in helmet

Welcome to our 2026 Season!

02/22/2026

As posted on website a while ago, 2026 Membership, discussion & decision meeting Sat March 7, 1-4 PM at IndyKart. Membership registration first, cards & phones preferred. Exact cash if no card or capable phone. Prices same as last year. Those parents with minors can fill out the yearly Minor Consent forms as well as Membership forms. To be more efficient, we'll have a separate table to fill them out before a review of forms & payment. We'll begin setup at 11 when they open & you're welcome to help, register early, speak with others or race.

2PM we'll have a short informative presentation on the state of the track, followed by the main section of the meeting- a discussion of topics that have been brought up over the past season & any topic members wish to discuss & decide on. If you have topics you definitely want discussed, you can email to geneseevalleymc@gmail. This is an important meeting as it's our members opportunity to shape our 2026 season.

The 2026 Race Schedule Draft has been posted on the website. On a tablet or computer this will appear under a full horizontal menu. Because of limited horizontal space on phones- click the drop down menu arrow, Race Information, 2026 Race Schedule Draft.

Bikers are welcome to join. Several had valuable information to share last year & are a big part of our community. Memberships can also be purchased at the track.

Will have T shirts, hoodies & few suits & shoes for sale after the meeting.

From a collection gathered over time, pictures & videos have been added to website & facebook. If you're the photographer or subject & wish to be identified, please let us know so we can thank you & if you wish, give appropriate credit on the platform. A historical section will soon be added. If you have group shots, historical photos or unique videos please let us know.

We're a unique community and rely on members to be highly involved in our operations. See you on the 7th!
