When your shifter decides it's done working right in the McDonald's drive-thru, who ya gonna call? Steel Horse Towing, of course!
This gentleman found himself in a bit of a pickle when his vehicle decided it wasn't going anywhere. Thankfully, he gave us a call, and we were able to assist and get him safely moved!
Because breakdowns don't care if you're on the highway or just trying to get some chicken nuggets. 🤣

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Andrew Bass ! 🎉
If you’ve been around Steel Horse, you already know Andrew wears about 47 different hats around here. 😂
He manages both the shop AND the office, hops in a tow truck when we need him, gets his hands dirty working on vehicles, and somehow still agrees to jump right into whatever Sophie's latest project happens to be. 🤣
And then there’s Jeff… 📱😂 No matter what time of day it is, Andrew is always ready to answer the phone when Jeff calls and help figure out whatever needs figuring out.
We’re incredibly thankful for everything Andrew does to keep both sides of Steel Horse running and for being the kind of guy who will jump in wherever he’s needed.

Sometimes the smallest parts can cause the biggest problems.
This 2016 Subaru crossover came in with complaints of hard shifting and intermittent loss of clutch response.
Once we got into it, we found the culprit — a cracked clutch fork. It may not look like much, but this component plays an important role in properly engaging and disengaging the clutch. When it fails, shifting can become difficult or the clutch may stop responding altogether.
And here's the kicker: getting to that “small” broken part means the transmission has to come out. 😮‍💨
Just another reminder that a relatively simple component can turn into a labor-intensive repair — and why catching drivetrain problems early matters.

Two old-school rehab gems, both with plenty of rust, plenty of character, and a WHOLE lot of potential. 🔧🔥
They may not look like much yet… but around here, we know better than to judge a project by its patina. 😏 These two have some stories left to tell, and we’re pretty excited to see what they become.
