The REAL Historic Greenville Pickens Speedway

Some places are more than racetracks.

They are where careers began.
Where legends raced.
Where families spent Saturday nights.
Where generations fell in love with this sport.

Greenville Pickens Speedway is one of those places.

For three years, we fought to make sure its story didn’t end with a bulldozer.

And now, for the first time, we have a real opportunity to bring it back.
The purchase agreement is signed. ✍️🏁
But signing it doesn’t save the speedway.

Closing does.

So this is my call to the NASCAR family, the motorsports industry, the drivers who remember what tracks like this meant to their careers, and the companies whose businesses were built alongside this sport:
If preserving grassroots racing and NASCAR history matters to us, this is the moment to prove it.
I’m not trying to rebuild the past.

I’m trying to give it a future.

Racing. CARS Tour. Automotive events. Community events. STEM and workforce development. A place where the next generation can stand where legends once stood and dream about becoming one themselves.

Greenville Pickens Speedway helped write part of NASCAR’s story.

Now I’m asking the racing world:
Who wants to help write its next chapter?

Before the grandstands, the television cameras and the NASCAR legends… there were moonshiners with fast cars and something to prove. 🏁
Men who built cars to outrun the law eventually started finding out who really had the fastest machine — and that racing culture became part of the roots of stock car racing in the South.
Greenville Pickens Speedway grew out of that era and went on to become part of NASCAR history.

It’s a piece of the story of how stock car racing became what it is today and that history deserves to survive.

Before they became some of the biggest names in racing… they raced HERE. 🏁

They didn’t just race around Greenville Pickens Speedway, they raced past the names of champions who came before them, painted right there on those historic walls.

That’s what people need to understand when we talk about saving this place.

You’re not looking at “just an old racetrack.”
You’re looking at a piece of the road that helped build careers, create champions and write NASCAR history.

Those walls still have stories left to tell.

Now we have the opportunity to make sure a whole new generation gets to write theirs . Restore the track. Reopen the gates. 🏁

THIS is the NASCAR I miss.

1971. Bobby Isaac had just won the Greenville 200 at Greenville Pickens Speedway, and the cameras were there to capture him after the victory.

No simulators. No stages. No million-dollar motorhomes.

Just race cars, packed grandstands and some of the toughest drivers to ever strap into one.
55 years later, the track where this happened is still standing.
And I intend to make sure race cars roar here again. 🏁
