Just finished organizing the Gala room at Beckman Catholic. Thanks to the Gala committee for helping get things put away so I could get everything labeled and finished. As you can see with vertical storage there is room for more decorations in the future. Thanks to Mark Stelken for the shelving units. They sure can hold many containers from both the front side and the back.

Have a great Thanksgiving with family and friends

Some of you may not want to hear this but only 5 weeks left until Christmas. Since I'm going to be gone on Thanksgiving weekend at a family wedding I decided I wanted my Christmas decorations up before I left. I know it may seem too early for some but I love sitting here in my office and looking around at the decorations. Anyway...

If you are planning on hosting any Christmas parties or family gatherings then you are probably trying to figure out how to get everything done.

First, make a list either on paper or your phone. Try to spread things out in the next 5 weeks. Here are a few suggestions.

Week 1 - clean out medicine cabinet. Get rid of all expired medicine, old make-up, etc.
While in the bathroom go through the towels and ditch any that are worn, torn or stained.
Linen closets may have the towels so go through the blankets and sheets while in there. Make sure they are clean and fresh.

Now think about all the things you want to get done and put them down in your calendar or on a spread sheet with what you will get done each week or day. Don't forget to plan the menu, grocery shopping, baking, present buying and wrapping.

Just finished packing a client and her family who are heading to Texas. It was such a pleasure helping Lauren and her family. Good Luck to them on their new adventure in their life.

I'm also helping an older couple on their downsizing into a senior living townhouse. It's taking a while but we are getting things packed into storage until they get the house on the market and sold.

In between these jobs I'm organizing the drama department storage rooms at Beckman Catholic. This is time consuming but it is starting to come together. Pictures to follow when I get done.

As the weather starts to get warmer hopefully it will get you motivated to get some spring cleaning done. Maybe that big event (First Communion, Graduation) coming up will give you incentive to get some things done. If you need any help getting things ready and organized give me a call.

Electronic Recycling in Dyersville is April 24-29 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You can drop off computers, printers, TV's, vacuums, microwaves, radios, batteries for free at Deutmeyer Auto, 1136 3rd Ave. NE

Shredder Truck will be in Dyersville on Thursday April 27th from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Highway 136 location of American Trust & Savings Bank.

Spring Clean Up in Dyersville in April 29 for residents with Tuesday garbage pick-up and May 6 for residents with Friday garbage pick-up. Tags are required for appliances, TV's and tires.
