What a grand part of the country we operate in.

Work trips can get exhausting. Sunrises at 5am, sunsets at 8pm and constant photoshoots lined up throughout the day make for extremely long and tiring days. But when those photoshoots are in a place as beautiful as Visit Durango, it’s hard to turn the camera off and relax. I shot this photo out the windshield of a moving car on an “off morning.” Hey, when an opportunity presents itself....🤷🏼‍♂️

Be careful on your mountain adventures. Thanks for sharing this, The Colorado Trail Foundation.

Bear problems are increasing, in mid Segment 1 (see report below) and elsewhere. Keep your food away from the bears and all other critters by 1) an Effective Hang, or 2) Ursack with Opsak, or 3) Bear Vault. Every CT multi-day traveler needs to do this. It preserves your CT trip, and other's, and prevents problem bears that must then be killed. Here is CT hiker Sarah's report made on July 31, 2018:

There's been a lot of bear activity at Bear Creek (~8mi in from waterton, with all the campsites), even during the day, the bear going up to any open food and not being intimidated by one person yelling them off. Just FYI! (I saw this bear at 7a, it had demolished at least one campsite and taken an ursack left out (not tied yet) around 4p the day before).
