Let’s talk about the 3.6 Pentastar motor in Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram products.

We see SO many oil cooler failures in these motors. From just starting to leak only leaving a small drop here and there to completely dumping oil out the back side of the motor leaving trails of it.

Many shops and mechanics will try and tell you to “upgrade” to the Dorman all aluminum cooler. We can confidently tell you that this DOES NOT make your engine bulletproof to this failure. In the last six weeks alone, we have had to replace two of these “upgraded” coolers with the OEM plastic housing style due to them leaking SIGNIFICANTLY worse than what the OEM had. Both with less than 20k miles on the part.

Price points? The Aftermarket Dorman all aluminum brand costs you more than replacing the faulty one with an OEM plastic style.

All in all, these coolers are terrible designs and WILL fail again at some point. Don’t spend the extra money because you were told the aluminum one will be the “fix all” to this failure.

Good morning folks!

As a thank you to the community, we will be running a limited time “End Of Summer” deal on full sets of disc brake and brake pad replacements. All vehicles up to half ton pickup size are eligible for $899. Don’t brake and wait for this deal to go away as it will start tomorrow, August 3rd and go until September 30th!

We are committed to giving back to and teaching our youth so with that, we also would like to remind everyone that high school students from ANY school district with proof of school ID receive free inspections when scheduled to be brought in. (We ask that you please do not abuse this program by sending your child in YOUR primary vehicle to get a free inspection for you. Thank you!)
