When you are chasing a problem working on your vehicle, please give ALL the information you have. This customer asked me to figure out why its a no start, and they had been trying to do all the work themselves. I started with trying to start it, nothing. Checked battery voltage, it was good. Started to check terminals for connection, and found this fuse popped. It supplies the starter. Looked for the starter and found it was brand new. I finally took a good look at the terminal noticing it was oem, and brand new, but the new fuse is popped still. I thought about it for a moment and checked the oil, and though dark, it had oil. After all this, and some thought. I called the customer and spoke of my findings, and he reminded me that they originally called because they were on their way to an oil change when it shut off while driving. They ended up doing the oil change on the side of the road to no avail. They got it home and called me for an appointment after they had tried replacing the starter, and the terminal 3 times. Hearing all of this in immediately got a socket onto the harmonic balancer bolt and it would not budge. Motor was toast. My whole point in drawing out all the details of this post is because these people were more than capable of doing that. If I had heard all that, I'd have told them to check it, and saved them that money. I hate taking money to tell people their motor is smoked. Anyway, I genuinely wish yall the best. If you work on your own stuff, text me. I might be able to help you out, and save you some money.
