You can’t go much deeper into a Vangon than this. This syncro Doka is getting it all. We have stripped this truck down to bare bones and now there’s nothing but rust and metal left. The next step for this truck includes building a safety cage, and then shipping it off to get acid dipped before we start the major rust reconstruction. This is going be a long-term project, but eventually this will be better than it ever was, better than new.

Another one of our projects is coming along nice and smoothly. We have done a full Mechanical restoration on this van. First we stripped all the mechanical components off of it and then stripped off all the old grit and grime off the chassis and sealed it in a raptor liner. This should make the chassis pretty bulletproof. Next, we have added a lot of Custom upgrades, including big brakes all the way around, disc brakes in the rear, Lummus awesome Burley Motorsports BMS Red flow Shock System. The Radflo have adjustable napping. And if you look at the rear, the rear spring purses are now adjustable, and they articulate with the angle of the suspension as you move down the road. The rear trailing arms have been extended, like the original sinker 16s from Volkswagen. This suspension should make this Syncro capable of going just about anywhere you want. We love builds like this.

A few weeks ago, we spent some time on the road traveling out to Nashville, Tennessee and Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. This was one quick stop at a really cool cabin on a 70 acre farm. We stayed for a few days and did lots of sightseeing around Mammoth Cave. Yeah it was a bit rainy that day but certainly nice and warm and a wonderful day.
