Everyone, please be safe on the roads today.
1:40PM: I am concerned about additional Flash Flooding across parts of Central NC over the next 1-2 hours as more heavy rainfall works in. The areas I am most concerned about are right around the Triangle, Wake County in particular has had 3-4 inches of rain. I expect more street and creek flooding to continue ongoing across parts of Wake County. This includes Crabtree Creek, Swift Creek, Beaver Creek, and portions of Walnut Creek. Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Wake Forest, RDU International, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, William B Umstead State Park, Research Triangle, Carpenter, Lake Wheeler, New Hill, Falls Lake Boat Ramp, Falls Lake, Jordan Lake, Crosswinds Campground, Crosswinds Boating Center, Jordan Lake State Rec Area and Shearon Harris Reservoir.
I am watching parts of Lee and Chatham Counties too.
Elsewhere across the state just seeing some isolated pockets of heavy rainfall, but I am watching those areas too.
