Post-weekend clean up! 🚙💨

If you spent the long holiday weekend hitting the highway or heading out out of town, your car probably brought home a few souvenirs. We are talking bug splats on the bumper and a layer of highway dust.

The Tip: Do not let those bugs bake on your paint in the sun! The acids in bug splatter can actually eat away at your car's clear coat if they sit too long. Giving the front grille and windshield a quick rinse today saves your paint job later.

Car Tip Tuesday: The dreaded windshield smear 🌧️👀
We all know that annoying moment when a little spring rain hits, you turn on your wipers, and it just smears a muddy film right across your view.

The Tip: Spring rain mixes with leftover winter road dust and creates a greasy layer on your glass. Instead of just spraying more fluid, take two minutes next time you get gas to wipe down your actual wiper blades with a wet paper towel. It gets rid of the built-up grime so your blades can actually do their job!

Car Tip Tuesday: Give your car its glow back! ✨🚘
Have your headlights been looking a little foggy or yellow lately? Between the winter salt and the sun, that plastic can get cloudy fast. It makes it way harder to see and be seen when you are out for those late drives.

The Tip: Cloudy headlights are more than just an eyesore. They can actually cut your visibility by half! A quick restoration or a fresh set of bulbs is the easiest way to make an older car look and feel brand new again.

Nothing beats that first drive with the windows down! But now that you can actually hear the road again, are you noticing a weird squeak, a clunk, or a mystery rattle you didn't hear all winter?

The Tip: Don't just turn the music up to drown it out. Most of the time, those new sounds are just your car’s way of saying it’s ready for a spring tune-up after a long winter.

Car Tip Tuesday: Winter tires still on? ❄️

It's still a bit chilly out there, but we are officially in that "in-between" weather! If you are still running on your winter tires, you are safe for these cold mornings, but it is the perfect time to start planning your swap.

The Ace Tip: Winter tires are made of a soft rubber that grips the ice, but once the temps stay consistently warm, they wear down much faster than all-season tires. Getting them swapped now is a great way to "beat the rush" and save your tires for next winter!

Now that the windows are finally down (maybe? 🤣), you might notice your car is making some new noises. If you hear a high-pitched squeak when you hit the brakes, that is usually your car's way of saying: "Change my pads before I ruin the expensive parts!"
