Exit 7 Race Recap:

Heat Race- Started 7th, worked my way to 5th, stayed 5th the entire heat race.

First Feature- Started 5th, had a great start, shooting to 2nd, was running 2nd for a couple laps when the leader pulled it in and I took first and held on for the Race win!

Feature #2- was starting 4th, right on the start went 4th-1st a quarter of the way down the front stretch, had 1st for a couple laps, got into turn 1 and 2 and the kart behind me unfortunately decided to be a bulldozer. Oh well. Track rule is 1 spin and your done so I tried keeping it going but once I got spun my kart got loose. Unfortunately that led to me pulling off to save parts and money for our next and final race of the season at Delaware on the 24th.

Either way we will take it. Felt like we had one of the fastest karts on the track and it showed in the first feature but and also 2nd feature but we just ran out of luck.

Plans for tomorrow! We will be heading to Exit 7 motorsports park for the Halloween race. Should be a good day of racing and hopefully we can pull off a good result towards the end of our race season!

Welp. There’s ups and downs in racing! Both heat races tonight went decently well, we had the speed that was needed, just had one too many tiny mistakes. Started 8th/10 in the feature, got up to about 5th or 6th for about a lap. Got caught up in a little scuffle with a few other karts battling it out. Unfortunately after the scuffle the kart got very tight and I had to use the brake pedal quite a bit to make the turns. Ended up finishing 9th. And now with the good part of the night, We got 4th in track points! Can’t thank everyone enough for the help this season! One more thing that I wasn’t going to add until the crew chief brought it up, his exact words “I F*cked us over on gearing tonight”. So now we will reset, go over the kart, and get ready for the next race and most likely the last race of the year on October 24th back at Delaware!

6/8 karts started the feature. I started 5th, made my way up to 4th after lap 1 and stayed that way the rest of feature. Kart felt great even though the track was quite sandy and loose. Thanks for the crew that was with me tonight to make the kart handle. Michael Blum , Cody Blum , and Conner Schwartz. With them working on our car it made a great racing surface none the less.
The rest of our week is busy too
Friday we are going to Delaware Speedway for night 1 of the Master of Faster.
Saturday we will be right back at Delaware Speedway for the Night 2 of the Master of Faster.
