It's hard saying goodbye to old friends. Today, the Marler Ford family remembers Ronald "Ron" Lyles and Jerry Watkins, two beloved members of our dealership whose kindness, dedication, and friendships left a lasting impact on our dealership and our community.
Ronald "Ron" Lyles served as a salesman at Marler Ford for 13 years, but to so many, he was much more than a coworker. He never met a stranger and had a gift for turning everyday conversations into lasting friendships. Ron loved fishing, hunting, camping, boat racing, and tinkering with anything mechanical to see how it worked. Above all, he was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, and a man of deep faith who treasured his family and the outdoors. His kindness, warm spirit, and genuine friendships leave a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jerry Watkins was a valued member of the Marler Ford family, serving our customers and community for nearly 35 years. Known for his quick wit and easy smile, Jerry had a way of making those around him feel welcome. He enjoyed playing the guitar, spending time fishing, and sharing a good joke with friends and coworkers. Above all, Jerry was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who cherished his family. His warmth, sense of humor, and the friendships he built over the years leave behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Though their journeys were different, Ron and Jerry shared a love for family, friendship, and the people around them. They helped make Marler Ford the place it is today, and their memories will continue to live on through the countless lives they touched.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lyles and Watkins families and all who had the privilege of knowing them. They will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by their Marler Ford family.
