Fun fact: the Porsche 911 almost wasn't the 911.

Porsche originally launched it as the 901 in 1963. Then Peugeot lawyered up — they claimed exclusive rights in France to three-digit car names with a zero in the middle. Porsche shrugged, swapped the 0 for a 1, and accidentally created the most iconic model name in automotive history.

Peugeot got their zero. Porsche got a legend. Sixty-plus years later, nobody's bragging about their 504.

Please join us in officially welcoming Dan to the team as our newest full-fledged Technician here at The Fix Autoworks! 🛠️

Many of you already know Dan—he started with us last year as an apprentice and has been absolutely crushing it ever since. Over the past year, he’s proven himself to have an incredible work ethic and an undeniable passion for the vehicles that roll into our bays.

When he’s not turning wrenches at the shop, there’s a 99% chance Dan is tinkering with, talking about, or dreaming of vintage and performance Volvos. If you ever want to talk turbochargers, classic bricks, or Swedish engineering, Dan is your guy. 🇸🇪🚗

We are thrilled to watch him transition into this new role. We already know he’s a perfect fit for our culture and our standards, and we can't wait to see him continue to grow with us.

The original 1959 Mini was so well-packaged that only 20% of its length was engine bay. The other 80% was for passengers and cargo.

Issigonis mounted the engine sideways and tucked the transmission underneath it — sharing the same oil. Revolutionary? Absolutely. Leak-free? Not even close. 😅

The modern MINI grew up, but the clever engineering DNA is still there.
