Fun Fact of the week! Audi's four rings aren't just a design flex — each ring represents an entire car company. Back in 1932, four struggling German automakers (Audi, DKW, Horch, and Wanderer) merged to survive the Depression and became Auto Union. Four companies, four rings.

"Audi" itself is a pun. Founder August Horch got legally blocked from using his own last name on his new company — "Horch" means "listen" in German — so he translated it to Latin. Audi = listen. The man out-lawyered his old business partners with a dead language.

Sneaky. Respect.

Fun fact: the Porsche 911 almost wasn't the 911.

Porsche originally launched it as the 901 in 1963. Then Peugeot lawyered up — they claimed exclusive rights in France to three-digit car names with a zero in the middle. Porsche shrugged, swapped the 0 for a 1, and accidentally created the most iconic model name in automotive history.

Peugeot got their zero. Porsche got a legend. Sixty-plus years later, nobody's bragging about their 504.
