Went to customers to diagnose why his hydraulic oil temp was going high and overheating after twenty minutes of run time on a link belt 145. I diagnosed the sensor was working properly and diagnosed the hydraulic filter was being restrictive and all of the cooling radiators needed a good cleaning from dust and debris from working the machine in dusty conditions and not being able to access all of the surface of the radiator to clean it out. I made some fittings to be able to reach in between all of the cooling cores and blew all of the debris out. After doing so machine is back to operating normal.

Went to a customers to fix a air bag. Somehow someone forgot to tighten the lower air bag nut on an air bag and the whole bottom came out of the bracket and lost the lower part of the air bag. Luckily my some chance of luck his driver had the lower part of the air bag and also he even got more lucky. The air bag didn’t get hurt or scraped up or anything. It was recently put on by another mechanic and something was overlooked. But anyhow reassembled the air bag and got it back together so it was all taken care of and back to work.

Customer says his blower motor in his international is making such a racket and not blowing air. Once I pull the dash apart I diagnose the blower motor broke out of the plastic mounts it had. I get it installed once again and make some new brackets up to hold it into place correctly once again. After these pictures I did repair the hole in the side to make it blow air correctly. I did not leave the hole in the air of the housing. Just forgot to take a picture after I fixed the hole.

Went to a customer to diagnose a bad air leak. Diagnosed a blown out air bag. Then diagnosed the upper shock mount broke and let the shock pull out and stab the air bag. I replaced the air bag and repaired all of the related problems with that. While I was there I noticed an axle fl**ge gasket was leaking. The axle fl**ge worked loose. Resealed and tightened it up. Also changed a steer axle oil hub cap cause it was slowly weeping oil also. While there also diagnosed the upper 90 on the stack got ripped apart out of the stack. I installed a new elbow and repaired the stack so it’s mounted to the cab again. Also while I was there he needed me to pull off two drive axle tires to get the tires changed along with one tag axle tire. In the end of the day I gotten all of the issues corrected that way he could get back to work the following day.

Doing preventive maintenance on a farmers skid loader and prepping it for a long week of work running all day long. Normally it only gets used here and there but this week it’s going to be running for eight hours at a time. I went over whole unit checked fluids, topped them off and cleaned out all the cores and air filter. Also checked alternator and fan belt, ect to make sure the machine won’t break down on the job.

Customer says engine is leaking fluid and it threw the belt off. Quick diagnosis and the water pump bearing left the chat.

Here is a little project that is going on in the shop. It’s a 1979 w900a. It was a standard hood that I swapped out with an extended hood to have a long hood. Also I am installing freightliner airliner suspension and a set of rears into the truck. This old truck was doing to be heading to the scrapyard and the guy had posted it online for final call before he sent it to its fate as scrap. I messaged him and bought it from him as a project for Finlee (my daughter) and I to put together and have some fun with and make good memories… so in the future you guys will get to see what this thing turns into. It should be fun.
