The Coike, a dense elastomer ball covered in soft spines, looks more like a sea urchin than a bass lure. Over the past year it has become one of the most talked-about baits in professional bass fishing.

A little over a year ago, at a conference at Lake Hartwell, South Carolina. Among the various fishing brands present was a Japanese company called Hideup, which offered an assortment of odd-looking, spiny soft plastic baits called the Coike. They’d been popular in Japan for some time, but were just entering the US market.

The main boat ramp on McPhee is now open! House Creek boat ramp will be open on May 1st.

Colorado residents: you will need current registration and that will include your ANS stamp.

Non-residents: you will need an ANS stamp which you can get at the Outfitters (bring your registration because we will need the registration and hull numbers).

✔ Must be 21+
✔ Able to lift/carry 50 lbs
✔ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
✔ Outdoor knowledge is a big plus (hunting, fishing, camping, etc.)

We opened Dolores Outfitters in December of 2017! A lot of changes have been made through the years and it's been an amazing journey.

Fun Colorado hunting facts!

✔️ You can buy an over the counter license even after the season starts. Yes. That is correct.
✔️ You do not need a small game license to buy an over the counter license. That is only needed when you are putting in for the draw.
✔️ You do not need a deer or elk license to get a bear license. You can get just the bear.
✔️ There is no such thing as "running out of over the counter licenses" they most likely ran out of the paper to print licenses. Over the counter licenses have no limit on how many we can sell in that season.
✔️ 3rd season this year has 2 weekends!

If you have questions, we have answers. If you are unsure, just stop by and ask. We like talking about hunting and have years of experience selling licenses.
