Happy Cinco De Mayo! What better way to spend it than taking current and voltage measurements of a car with hydraulics for the . Special thanks to here in Vacaville who arranged to have a customer car brought in, while I brought the power quality metering. This allows me to capture peak current, duration of time to give a better perspective of power requirements. Now for the fun to begin!

Ohm Electric Cars is excited to work with Gateway Community Charters, SMUD, California Air Quality board and the students in developing and building the first 1964 EV lowrider, based on a 1964 Chevorlet Impala.

This is an amazing project to show how this technology can be used in traditional applications.

We will start posting progress on the engineering and development as we move forward. A special thanks to our hardware suppliers and for this ultra sexy im225 and gear reduction, new eagle for hardware and controls.

We bring over 20 years of designing, building, testing and validating EV experience into every job from EV conversions and consulting to training and outreach.

Ohm is excited to support the new generation of clean energy talent through the ZEV Training group, supported by local utility SMUD, City of Sacramento, and AURA planning. Here we are during our shop visit, explaining the tools used for controls and product development. This includes showing torque and speed with our 2000 horsepower 4 wheel drive hub dynamometer.

Our community is now hit with thieves stealing catalytic converters from our vehicles, particularly Toyota Prius, Honda Element, and Nissan vehicles. These parts play a crucial role in your vehicles emissions, but are costly to replace ($2,000-$3,000), becoming an inconvenient experience.

For those who have already been impacted by these thieves, be careful when replacing - as non-OE level parts may interfere with SMOG test results and visual inspections.

I am launching an electric vehicle conversion and electrification outfit here in Dixon, and wanted to provide installation services for Toyota Prius owners to help install catalytic converter shields.

The installation price is $175, with $25 going towards the Sacramento Food Bank and Stanford Settlement. Both organizations are great services for our community here in the Sacramento / Northern California area.

Please remember that the price does NOT include the part. As I don't have inventory of these, please order ahead through their website, or places like Amazon and schedule a time for me to help!
