It’s got Yamaha’s legendary jet propulsion (no exposed prop, shallow draft, safer around swimmers and sandbars), a patented articulating keel for razor-sharp handling, and a patented clean-out port that makes maintenance a breeze.

Powered by the 1.9L High Output marine engine putting out 200 horsepower, this thing hits an estimated top speed north of 45 mph. That’s wild for a boat that’s still light enough to store in your garage and tow without a full-size truck.

Yamaha put its first-ever single-engine DRiVE® system on the 205XD and 205SD—delivering enhanced low-speed control, throttle-by-wire response, and paddle-shifter control designed to make docking and tight slips feel far more approachable.
