We hope everyone is gearing up for an amazing camping season! As you take your camper out of storage, it's time to perform some preventative maintenance. No one wants to face an unexpected repair bill that could have been avoided by following this checklist:
• Check for weathering, bubbles, and uneven wear on the tires.
• Check the age of the tires. If they are over 7 years old, they are past due for replacement.
• Inspect the caulking on the roof and sidewalls for shrinking and cracking.
• Remove the plastic from the top and bottom fridge vents (if we winterized it).
• Check the seals and weather stripping around doors, slides, and windows for cracks, tears, or loose pieces that could let water in.
• Check the water level in batteries. Top it off if needed.
We carry a line of cleaning products called Bio-Kleen, which our shop team and customers absolutely love. Many of their products contain UV protectants, helping to extend the life of your decals, paint, roof membrane, awning fabric, and more. This is crucial for maintaining the appearance and future value of your RV.
