We wanted to take a moment to update everyone on the future of Southwest Speedway.

Moving forward, the organization taking over operations will be known as Finish Line Promotions. Our board is made up of a dedicated group committed to bringing long-term success to the track: Darcie Dennis, Alex Braun, Scott Roberts, Jerry Binstock, Casey Binstock, Greg Madler, and Brad Hartigan.

Stark County will be completing necessary repairs and improvements to the facility. Because of this work, we anticipate a shorter non formal season this year. As construction progresses, we will continue to keep everyone informed with updates.

We understand that a shortened season isn’t ideal for racers or fans. That said, these improvements are an investment in the future of Southwest Speedway, and we’re confident the end result will deliver an outstanding experience for everyone involved.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work to build something great together. If there are questions please private message us. Thanks we look forward to seeing everyone at some point.

We’d like to ask everyone to keep our beloved burger griller, Lee, in your thoughts and prayers 🙏

Last Tuesday, Lee suffered a massive heart attack at home. He was taken in for surgery right away and is now resting as he begins his recovery. He has a follow-up coming soon to see how his medications are working.

Lee shared that he won’t be able to join us at the grill for the 2026 season, as he focuses on his health and healing. While we’ll miss him dearly, we fully support him taking all the time he needs to rest and recover.

Since Lee isn’t on Facebook, he hadn’t seen the previous post—but his brother showed it to him, and he was truly touched by all the love and kind words. That meant so much to him.

Please continue to keep Lee and his family in your prayers. We love you, Lee, and we look forward to the day we see you back behind the grill again. ❤️

Lastly, we have our INEX Legends. We would like to give a big thank you to the 6 drivers that came out. They got to try out the bigger track! It was 15ft longer in 2026 then it was in 2025. And guess what! We are hoping to add another 10ish feet in length in 2027!!
