🏍️ FOR SALE: Suzuki Burgman 650 – Luxury Touring Scooter 🏍️

One of the more unusual machines we’ve had around Detroit Moped Works!

We took this Burgman 650 in on trade, and after putting about 7 miles on it down Michigan Avenue, I totally understand why these bikes have such a loyal following. It’s incredibly comfortable, surprisingly fast, and just effortless to ride. If you’re looking for a highway-capable scooter that eats up miles, this is it.

This is my personal bike (clear title in my name), not a dealership sale.

The Good:
✅ Starts immediately and runs great.
✅ Smooth automatic CVT transmission.
✅ Comfortable touring seat with passenger backrest.
✅ Huge under-seat storage.
✅ Approx. 34,484 miles.
✅ Battery charged and tires set to proper PSI.
✅ Turn signals, horn, brake lights, digital dash, gauges, and speedometer all work correctly.

Known Issues:
• Headlight not working.
• Tail/running light not working.
• JBL stereo not working.
• I believe it’s likely a wiring issue, but I haven’t diagnosed it further.
• Cosmetic scratches and scuffs shown honestly in the photos.
• Flame decals can be removed if they’re not your style.

💵 $4,000 CASH buys it exactly as it sits.

OR…

💵 $5,000 if you’d rather have me troubleshoot the lighting, remove the decals if desired, and spend the time making it a more complete package.

I’d honestly prefer someone grab it for $4k and enjoy it. It’s a fantastic machine that just isn’t something I normally keep around.

🎥 Watch this listing video, then check out the POV ride video I’m posting next to see it cruising down Michigan Avenue! It really shows why these Burgmans have such a devoted following.

Message me if you’d like to come check it out or take it for a ride!

🏍️ We don’t sell many 650cc touring scooters… but this thing has been way more fun than I expected. 😅

Just a quick ride down Michigan Avenue to show this Burgman 650 doing what it was built to do—comfortably cruising.

It’s not often I get to hop off a vintage moped and onto something like this, but I have to admit… I get the appeal now. 😂

Check out our previous post for the full walk-around, pricing, and all the details. If you’re looking for an incredibly comfortable highway cruiser, this might be your next ride.

Would you tour on one of these?

🚨 Definitely not our usual inventory… but we couldn’t resist taking it for a rip. 😅

We just took this 2006 Suzuki Burgman 650 in on trade, and while Detroit Moped Works is known for vintage mopeds, 50cc scooters, and e-bikes, this luxury touring scooter has been a fun surprise.

After spending some time with it—including a 7-mile cruise down Michigan Avenue—we totally understand why these have such a dedicated following. It’s incredibly comfortable, surprisingly quick, and just eats up the miles.

✅ 638cc twin-cylinder engine
✅ Automatic CVT transmission
✅ 34,484 miles
✅ Huge under-seat storage
✅ Comfortable rider & passenger seating
✅ Starts immediately
✅ Runs and rides great
✅ Horn, turn signals, brake lights, speedometer, and digital dash all work properly

The only significant issues we’ve found are:
⚠️ Headlight not working
⚠️ Running/tail light not working (brake light works)
⚠️ Aftermarket JBL stereo currently not functioning

We’ve checked the obvious stuff and suspect the lighting issue is electrical, but since this isn’t our normal specialty, we’re offering it AS-IS.

💰 $4,000 CASH takes it exactly as it sits.

If you’d rather have us spend shop time troubleshooting the lighting, removing the flame decals (if desired), and putting labor into it before delivery, we’d be looking closer to the original $5,000 asking price.

🎥 Keep an eye on our page! We’ll be posting a POV ride video blasting this thing down Michigan Avenue shortly so you can hear it run, see how smoothly it accelerates, and get a better feel for what it’s like from the rider’s seat. If you’ve been curious about these Burgman 650s, you won’t want to miss that one.

Stop by the shop, check it out in person, and take it for a test ride. It’s an unusual bike for us, but it’s been a genuinely fun one to have around.

🔴🏍️ A true survivor is getting harder and harder to find. ❤️

Up for sale now at Detroit Moped Works is this beautiful Puch Magnum XK—a remarkably clean, mostly original survivor showing just 2,489 original miles.

Unlike so many Magnums that have become race builds or heavily modified customs over the past 40+ years, this one has stayed remarkably honest. And these days, that’s becoming increasingly rare.

Before offering it for sale, we took care of all the important reliability items while preserving its originality:

✅ Brand new Shinko Tires dual-sport tires & tubes
✅ New KMC Chain | USA chains
✅ New fuel petcock
✅ New fuel line & inline fuel filter
✅ Carburetor serviced
✅ Fresh NGKsparkplugs NGK spark plug
✅ Thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and road tested

It still retains the details enthusiasts love:
🧰 Original dealership tool kit in the rear trunk
📯 Original working horn
💡 Functional headlight, taillight & brake light
📈 Original VDO speedometer
🛞 Just 2,489 original miles

💲Asking Price: $2,000

Clean, original Magnum XKs have become surprisingly collectible, and similar examples have recently sold for well over $2,500 on enthusiast auction sites like Bring a Trailer .

Sure, we could probably hold out for top dollar—but we’d rather price it fairly, move it while the riding season is in full swing, and get someone out enjoying this incredible piece of moped history.

💵 Swing by with paper cash dollars, and we can probably save you a couple more bucks, too.

❤️ Let’s find this Magnum its next garage.
