The Freeway Courtesy Patrol provides emergency roadside assistance to stranded motorists on behalf of the Michigan Department of Transportation, at no charge. Emergency Road Response (ERR) has been operating in Detroit for more than a decade and our management team has more than 150 years experience in the emergency response industry. You can rest assured that your roadside assistance needs are in

very capable hands. The Freeway Courtesy Patrol operates 24/7, providing roadside assistance to stranded motorists, locating and marking unoccupied vehicles, clearing and directing traffic, and moving debris off roadways. Established in 1994, MDOT administers the program as part of its freeway incident management program out of its Michigan Intelligent Transportation Systems (MITS) Center in Detroit. In 2008, alone, ERR saved Southeast Michigan motorists more than 11 million hours in traffic delay.
