“It doesn’t happen to me” crying the words out. This is the response we got when we told EJ that he did not medal. Today marks the 1st tournament he has wrestled in that he has not Medaled in some capacity. It was a learning experience today. He made some mental mistakes and put himself in positions that helped his opponent and they took full advantage! These mental mistakes can certainly be fixed, but more importantly this dude never quit during any match today! I’ll take that over winning at youth sports any day!! Effort is much harder to teach than technique. I am so proud of him even though “it doesn’t happen to him” 😂😂. Our westling Sunday’s are always a great family experience and today’s was a great lesson.
