This is exactly why we review and go over safety “must haves” every race. Something on the ground to capture the fuel, fire extinguishers manned and ready to put the fire out. And most importantly, SFI fireproof drivers suits, gloves, balaclavas, helmets, socks, and shoes. This goes for anyone that is in or around the vehicle while fueling. Keep young children away from the vehicle as well.

I apologize for the graphic pictures but it helps bring the point top of mind.

We do not want to have anyone hurt at our races.
