Count the lugs

Measure center-to-center across the hub (for 4/6/8-lug)

For 5-lug, measure center-to-center skipping one hole
Your pattern = number of bolts × diameter
Example: 6 × 5.5"

Short answer: sometimes.

Many axle components, such as bearings, hubs, brakes, and even springs, are designed to be replaced as part of normal wear and tear.

However, if the axle tube is bent or cracked, or if the spindle threads are damaged, replacement is usually the safest option. Problems like these can affect alignment, cause uneven tire wear, and impact handling.
