We were excited to have our State House Representative Bill Gustoff visit with us during . Bill listened when we approached him regarding the need to update Iowa code's definition of a Class 2 E-bike and that new legislation passed the State House and Senate and was signed into law by Governor Reynolds!

🚵‍♂️Some of ya don’t know what trail/sidewalk etiquette is… and it shows.

Let’s talk about it.

How do we know it’s about to be summer? Part 2.

We don’t get as many “get off my lawn!” complaints these days… though we still get a few. Pro‑tip: if it’s not your yard, stay out of it.

But that’s not today’s topic.

Today we’re talking about E‑motos. Electric dirt bikes. Electric motorcycles. E‑scooters. EV bikes. Marty’s hoverboard. e-everythings.

A few years ago it was skateboards and Razors. Well… here 👏 we go 👏 again👏.

A few no‑brainers:
❌Don’t buzz past people walking on sidewalks.
❌Don’t squeeze three riders onto something built for one.
❌Don’t ride at night without proper lighting.
❌Don’t ride down the middle of the street.
❌Don’t play Frogger across busy roads.

Bonus no‑brainer:
❌❌Don’t run from the cops.
❌❌Don’t run from the cops on an e‑motorcycle… with an Orbeez gun slung over your back. (Part 1)

🤔If your first thought was “That better not be my kid”… there’s a reason you thought that.

If your child has one of these e-things, please know where they’re going and how they’re getting there. 🚁

🗣️Put a helmet on them. Teach them the WMBYRN rule: “Would Mom Be Yelling Right Now?”

A good rule of thumb is... just know where your kids are.

➡️Gotten lots of reckless riding complaints? Yes.
