There’s a lot more happening behind the scenes at a collision center than you might realize.

James and Tera use ICS Collision Center’s production board to keep an eye on vehicles as they move through different stages of the repair process. With multiple vehicles, parts, procedures and tasks to coordinate, keeping the whole team informed is an important part of keeping repairs moving.

It may not be the part of collision repair customers usually see, but good communication and organization behind the scenes matter too.

At ICS, every vehicle has a process, a plan and a team behind it.

What you can see after an accident isn't always the whole story. As a vehicle is inspected and disassembled, additional damage may be uncovered that wasn't visible from the outside.

Here, Jordan is reviewing the documentation for this Hyundai Santa Cruz during that process. Identifying damaged components, researching manufacturer procedures, determining which parts would be required, and documenting the full extent of the damage all help build an accurate picture of what it would take to repair the vehicle safely and properly.

And sometimes, that process determines that a vehicle shouldn't be repaired at all.

At ICS Collision Center, the goal isn't simply to fix what you can see. It's to understand the full extent of the damage and what a safe and proper repair would require.
