A small thing worth knowing if you're new to Minnesota hail: a fresh dent left alone for a few weeks usually isn't a big deal. Left alone for a season or two, it can start trapping moisture against the metal underneath the paint, which is where the bigger problems start.

You don't need to act the day it happens. You do want to get it looked at before winter, since road salt and trapped moisture aren't a great combination for a car's panels.

No pressure on timing from us, just useful to know either way.
