This 2026 Volvo 840 has one of our Gen3 bodies on it. In this case the frenched-in tail light is a blacked out version of the Ford Raptor lights.

As part of our "Lifestyle" services we offer upgrades to your RV electrical system to better support your off grid experience. Whether that is extended boondocking with all the conveniences of being attached to a power pedestal, or simple overnight stays while in transport. Our solar/electrical upgrades can be as simple as upgrading your battery bank to Lithium batteries, to a complete 48-volt electrical system with solar panels, allowing operation off grid the same as you would on a 50 amp pedestal (including running air conditioning). Big or small, we can handle your needs. Our 25 years of experience allows us to recommend the appropriate system for your mission. In the case below we simply replaced the batteries in an existing implementation with a larger battery bank that performs better for the owner. We took the existing 12 volt off grid system from 900 Ah of marginal performing Battleborn batteries to a 1380 Ah system. We also added buss bars for improved battery balancing. We used three Epoch 12v Essential 460Ah batteries in this implementation, to replace the nine Battleborn batteries.

When designing and building custom truck projects we are often asked about building in waste water or fresh water storage. In most cases that is based on customers seeing other people with built in liquid storage. For most situations we believe that a bladder (or bladders) is a better solution. Unless you boondock almost exclusively, the storage space that you give up for permanent liquid storage is better used as general storage. Your general storage needs are there all the time, while your liquid storage needs (for most people) are only required very occasionally. The bladders roll up into a pretty tight space and are easily stored when not needed. Since we always build custom storage boxes into our bodies our boxes take up all available space on the body - there is generally not "extra" room like there would be when production/manufactured boxes are welded into the body. We do offer a drom box that has massive liquid storage available in it, but for most people the bladders serve as an excellent solution, when needed.

RVH Lifestyles installs advanced 48 volt off grid systems that make your off-grid lifestyle the same as your on-grid lifestyle. Run air conditioning, 240 volt dryers, and 240 volt convection ovens just like you would on a pedestal. On this install you "might say" we covered the roof with solar.

Normally I do a "weekend eye candy" post on Friday. I would not call this eye candy but here is the dash area in front of the passenger seat in a gen4 Volvo. VERY easy to remove the panels and get into it. There is plenty of space and an ODB connection in here for accessories as well. We use it for the brake controller (DirecLink). Easy access for us, and easy for a customer to repair things if it proves necessary. Another improvement on the new trucks....

Here are three of the new Gen4 Volvo trucks and one "classic". The 640 in front is almost done - just some minor details to wrap up. We will do an in depth video of this one. I personally think it is one of the nicer trucks we have done, but I'm very partial to the black.
