Hiring this man and what he did to my engine was truly terrible, but the most egregious thing is that he represented himself as a more trustworthy and less expensive alternative and option to taking one's vehicle to a shop or dealership. It turned out to be one of the most expensive lessons I've learned in my life.

Just because you break something in the process of trying to do a repair for someone and it's very difficult and expensive to fix does NOT mean you stiff the customer and make it their problem. This makes you not only a bad businessman, but a pos 💩.

Remembering this ridiculousness..
Guy breaks a bolt off in my engine and tears it up, my jeep has to be towed to a shop, he blocks me and ignores me, then sends me some stupid letter referring to himself in the third person telling me to stop "creating a false negative narrative" about him when I complain online. What in the world lol..Nothing false about it.
You DID tear up my engine, this is America and I'm going to tell as many people as I can the truth about what you did and what kind of person you truly are! I also found the water pump bolt you broke off and left in my engine and didn't tell me about when I was changing the water pump again so maybe you need to cease and desist breaking bolts off in people's engines and then trying to hide it. Mistakes happen and are generally forgiveable..lies however are not.

Just a reminder if you're considering hiring Neil Boone based off of his Facebook business page you're not seeing the whole picture. The idea behind Facebook business pages is for someone to be able to promote their business, and for prospective customers to be able to decide to hire a business (or not) based off of objective data and customer experiences. He deletes and blocks negative reviews (notice there are ZERO)🙄

Remembering today when I picked up my vehicle from Neil Boone and when I asked why the harmonic balancer was spinning like a drunk ballerina and making a noise I was told he broke a bolt off in the camshaft and "didn't have the tools" to remove it. So he basically didn't fix my vehicle on his second attempt and made it worse, breaking something else in the process, and decided to let that be my (expensive) problem.
Horrible person.

After finding another broken bolt when removing my water pump due to it springing a leak, a job I thought Neil Boone had completed successfully, I realize he broke another bolt (waterpump) and never told me about it.🙄🤬 This is in addition to breaking the bolt off in my crankshaft and trying to hide it with a decorative screw he forced in sideways.

As for Neil Boone telling others I am "just trying to get more money" out of him, well that's true:
Even though a mediator found in my favor after reviewing all of the evidence (including from other shop/dealership I had to pay for after he screwed it up) and rewarded me all of my money back for the two failed attempts and parts to repair my vehicle because he didn't repair it, he made it worse, my engine now makes an awful noise and leaks.
I'm not looking for betterment, or to make a profit. I simply want to be in the same position I was in before I brought my vehicle to him and he damaged it.
Don't trust this man.

Neil Boone can lie all he wants..these two pictures of his handiwork speak for themselves. Anyone doing things like this...

Neil Boone can lie all he wants..these two pictures of his handiwork speak for themselves. Anyone doing things like this and not telling the customer is going to be found out sooner or later.
You can't go around breaking bolts off in people's engines and not saying anything.

I am not a representative for or affiliated with Neil Boone of Performance Mobile Mechanic LLC. I was a customer of his for a couple of years, and want to warn other people, so they do not end up spending lots of time and money like I have trying to correct the damages he caused to my vehicle. Our relationship ended when he broke a crankshaft bolt off in my block and tried to cover it up (with a wood screw 🙄). Recently, when replacing the water pump he also installed I realized he broke a waterpump bolt off and never told me about that, either. It was hidden by the pulley. He had put a big glob of grey RTV where he broke the bolt off in the block. You may very well think you had a good experience with him, but he is dishonest and instead of letting you know something went wrong he lies and covers it up. (I thought he only messed up on the timing chain replacement. Didnt realize he had also broken a water pump bolt off and put a glob of RTV there until the following year when it started to leak and I removed the pump he installed). Not an honest person, not a good mechanic. As I've said before, instead of standing behind his work, he hides behind it.
Anyhoo, in addition to having to pay someone to get the bolt he broke off in my crankshaft, I now have to pay someone to try and drill out the waterpump bolt he broke off in my engine. Since his two failed attempts at replacing my timing chain and breaking the waterpump bolt, my engine has leaked oil (timing cover gasket) and coolant (waterpump). The oil leak is getting worse and I know soon I'm looking at having that redone. No telling what we'll find but I'll be sure to post it here.
