You meet a lot of great people working on boats. One of the most interesting I’ve met is Thomas Gardi, founder of We Do Teak. Eccentric, full of energy, and helpful toward others starting out in a crowded industry. I learned of his passing today and feel a profound loss. He was truly one of a kind.

I want to wish my co-worker of the last two years, Matthew Shield, all the best as he embarks on his next journey which is planned to take him to Bali, Indonesia to study yoga...by way of Sweden, France, the Czech Republic, and a few other countries he may choose to visit depending on which way the wind is blowing. Farewell and Godspeed.
