Good Morning Delta Junction! Do you see that? It is ONLY -3 right now! And it appears that we will get some ABOVE 0 temps, at least for the next couple of days.

We are also forecast to get some snow starting this afternoon—not a tremendous amount, but a few inches and the potential for blowing snow.

If you plan to be on the road, remember those slick spots that develop when we get a warm up will be slick again—drive with your HEADLIGHTS ON! I know YOU can see, but can everyone see you?

Good morning friends! It’s ANOTHER frigid cold day here in Delta Junction—the forecast didn’t mention that it would possibly be this cold, and I’d been hoping for a bit of a warm up.. I mean.. is 10 or 15 degrees warmer really too much to ask?

Please put of plans to go out until it is a bit later in the day—it should warm up. At the current temperature, if you can stay in, please do. Regardless, if you need to go out, please be sure that you have the regular emergency/winter supplies in your vehicle.

Stay safe and warm!

As always, we are here if you need us. 907-895-4869

Good Morning, friends!

How much snow did you get overnight? We got about 4 inches on top of the snow that fell yesterday and it is still coming down!

The word on the street is that the snowfall is going to taper off today. It will be nice to have a break to catch up on the shoveling/plowing.

The temperature here at our house is 19 above zero so the new snow makes for slick conditions. Plus blowing snow and snow wash on the road.

I also hear that Delta Schools are on a 2 hour delay getting started.

If you can stay home, please do, however if you have to be out, please be safe-check 511.Alaska.Gov for the most up to date road conditions. Currently they are showing Difficult.

❄️🌨️ Snowpocalypse Mode: Activated 🌨️❄️

We’re getting hammered with snow through tomorrow night. If you don’t absolutely have to be on the roads… this is your sign to stay home.

Road conditions are changing fast, visibility is low, and the ditch is currently accepting new residents.

If you must drive:
• Slow way down
• Leave extra space
• Expect zero traction
• Assume every intersection is ice

Otherwise, enjoy the storm from inside, hot drink in hand, watching it pile up instead of sliding through it.

Let’s keep everyone off the tow truck list. And don’t make me be like this guy, but we are here if you do.
