Welp. That’s a wrap. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the riders and our track all season long.

Thank you to The Fry Guy for coming out and slanging those potatoes all season. We are so incredibly happy to have you and cannot wait to have you come out and provide that delicious goodness next year. You guys are an amazing addition to the Lucky Thumb family and we are so grateful for you.

Thank you to Sunrise Susie’s Coffee Co. for being so friendly and loveable and pouring all of your deliciousness down our throats. We are so happy to have you here and are excited to get your drinks down our gullets again soon.

Thank you to Cone-Appetit for coming out the past few weeks. Who doesn’t like ice cream? Not cool people, that’s who. We are so happy that you are part of our crew and can’t wait to see what you bring in the future.

A special thank you to Marlette Excavating, Donley Excavating and Aspire Health for all that you have done for this club. We appreciate the absolute hell out of you!

Lastly, thank you all that made this possible and showed up race weekend after race weekend to put these shows on. Without your dedication to this club, we wouldn’t be able to pull it off. You, along with this community, are the lifeline of this program and from the bottom my heart I thank you all for everything you do.

We loved seeing everyone come out for state championships and we love all of you for just being crazy dirt loving S.O.B.s. Thank you for an absolutely amazing season here at Lucky Thumb and we cannot wait until next season. Next up, the banquet!! okloveyoubye.

DAY ONE IN THE BOOKS, DAY TWO COMING RIGHT UP!!!

That’s right everyone. TT has completed and tonight is the crazy fast, crazy loud, crazy dirty Short Track. Come on out to see these fine racers sling it in a circle (oval?) all night long and battle for first place. Who’s going to win? This guy? That girl? WHO KNOWS?? I just know it’s going to be another amazing night of flat track insanity and you need to be there to witness it all. Also, found another article from the archives (see below). Anyway, can’t wait to see you all again tonight as we get this crazy train a rollin. Come get your fries, come get your coffee dranks, and come get some ice cream all while watching some of the fastest racers on planet earf getting to work on the short track. Ok Race Fam...it is officially HUMP DAY and we are only days away from our State Championship weekend at Lucky Thumb!

Long post incoming, if you don't want to read through it just check out the flyer below.

The excitement levels are higher than a giraffes....wait, not that one. Ummm.... Ok higher than Willie Nelson on a tour bus in Texas. Yeah! So much excitement this weekend - TT on Friday with ST on Saturday.

The Fry Guy will be there to provide you with the face smashing goodness that you have come to love, Sunrise Susie’s Coffee Co. will be there to coat your throats with all those fancy drinks that just taste so dadgum good...and rumor has it that Cone-Appetit will also be there for you to get that sugar fix all up in your business.

The weather forecast for the weekend is looking incredible, so make sure you break out your tank tops for the last hurrah of the summer. We still have shirts and hoodies available, so don't forget to visit the S.W.U.T. underneath the crows nest and get you a little something something and rock your Lucky Thumb pride.

Ok, quick pause from the excitement to bring up everyones favorite topic...

**PIT RIDING**

Please don't pit ride...ESPECIALLY please do not pit ride through the staging area during races. I know we say this all the time but the number of people that we see just completely disregarding this is incredibly discouraging. The season started out amazing with everyone seeming to adhere to the rule but as the year went on, that progress started to slide backwards. We truly do not want to have to impose penalties on anyone because of this, but rider and spectator safety is paramount to our club and penalties will be assessed if necessary. Additionally, if a racer has a family member or friend attending, and they are the ones found to be doing this, the penalty will be assessed to the rider that they are associated with. Bottom line, please help keep our track safe and make sure that you and yours are kept safe as well. Thank you, we do appreciate it.

Ok, back to the race excitement. The track is looking great after some incredibly hard work by Shawn Coltson Sr. and crew, and we are confident that this is going to be one of the best looking tracks we have had in a long time...which is tough because our track is literally in the Guiness Book of World Records for being voted the best flat track this side of the Mississippi. It has been featured in editorials like "Better Homes and Gardens - Race Track Edition" and "National Geographic, but for Flat Tracks". I'm just saying, our track is the best track (insert POTUS impression here...).

Wow. What a weekend. Sorry in advance for two things: 1) this post is a few days late and 2) it is going to be a long (ish) one so buckle up and I don't want to hear anything about it.

Ok, now that we have that out of the way, listen up. First and foremost, we here at Lucky Thumb are wishing Dave Rogers a speedy and full recovery after his accident on Saturday during the short track races. If praying is your thing, send them his way...it's free and if it works, it works. If "good vibes" is your bag, send those too. I'm sure he would appreciate any positive anything being sent his way so...get to it.

Second, regarding the cancelation of races on Saturday - we would like to sincerely thank all of our racing family for their understanding in making the decision to cancel. The track conditions deteriorated in some spots that became quite unsafe to continue, and the feedback we received was very positive so again, thank you.

Third, thank you so much for supporting our track. We had an insane amount of riders and their families show up for this weekend and we truly appreciate each and every one of you that comes to beautiful Deford, MI. to enjoy this sport with us. We couldn't do it without you and your continued patronage means the world to us.

Fourth, a huge thanks to The Fry Guy, Sunrise Susie’s Coffee Co., and Cone-Appetit for coming out and slinging their deliciousness all weekend. I know that I personally gained about 94 pounds this weekend and I am sure I'm not the only one. It was brutally warm mixed in with some humidity but that didn't deter them one bit from hanging out and providing amazing food, drinks, and sweet treats and we are looking forward to having them all again for......(drumroll please) STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND!

Fifth, another HUGE thanks to Highline Promotions LLC for the incredible donation to the Combo Class Payout!

Lastly, thats right - state championship weekend is next month and it is going to be an amazing time filled with dirt, food and great times all around. We are working very diligently to get everything back into tip top shape and we absolutely cannot WAIT to get it on (again).

The Fry Guy is here getting them potatoes ready to slam into your faces, Sunrise Susie’s Coffee Co. is here with those amazing beverages to pour down your gullets and oh snap guess what? WE HAVE AN ICE CREAM TRUCK COMING OH MY GOD ICE CREAM!!!!! Cone-Appetit will be here throwing down all of the icy cream goodness that you could ever want. Yeah, ice cream. Ok listen up nerds. Today is Thursday and there is roughly one day until tomorrow. Which is Friday. Which is arguably the best day of the week not only because its Friday, but because we race. We cannot wait to see you all at the track tomorrow, and make sure you swing by the S.W.U.T. and say hi to Karen and sn**ch you some Lucky Thumb Motorcycle Club swag. The shirts this year are fire.
