Hey there 👋 In case we haven’t met yet, my name is Craig Thomas. After being a sales rep for 25 years and spending MANY hours on the road, I gained a deep understanding of what safe driving takes. And now I have a passion for teaching others.

I believe a positive learning experience makes a BIG difference when you’re teaching new drivers the safe and defensive driving habits they’ll carry with them as long as they’re behind the wheel.

Following distance is how many seconds you are behind the car in front of you. To determine your following distance, pick out a stationary object on the road and count how long it takes to get there.

This helps you keep a safe distance from the car in front of you and gives you enough time to brake suddenly without crashing.
