Think Spring. 🌷🌷🌷

Spring is the perfect time to help your car recover from the "wrath of winter" and prepare for warmer weather. After months of dealing with road salt, freezing temperatures, and potholes, a thorough maintenance check can prevent major issues during summer travels.

● Wash/Clean your vehicle - Remove that winter salt & grime both inside and out.
● Inspect & Replace windshield wiper blades - Winter salt is not rubbers friend. Check for ripped, cracked or missing rubber on your wiper blades and replace before the rain 🌧️begins.
● Check Tire pressures and condition - Are your tires properly inflated to your vehicles recommended p.s.i.? Do you see cracks, bulges or uneven wear on any of your tires?
● Think Brakes - Now that you can drive with the windows down, are they making noise?
● Fluid check - Check what fluids you can under the hood. Are they up to proper levels? How do the colors look compared to fresh?
● Belts & Hoses - Visual check, are your hoses wet where they connect? Are your belts making noise?
● Battery - How does the battery look? Corroded terminals or cables? Wet? Has your battery condition been checked recently? Summer heat can cause failure just as much as winter cold.
● Air Filter(s) -How does that engine and cabin filter look? A dirty engine air filter can cause more fuel consumption. A dirty cabin filter can restrict air flow through your vents. A new filter can also help allergy 🤧sufferers filter the pollens that will begin to float through the air.
● Suspension - This is a tough to notice at times as the roads get rough during the wintry months. Visual inspection of the shocks/struts for leaks or flaky rust. Theirs a list of things you can feel or hear driving down the road related to suspension. Rattling, thumping over bumps, vehicle wandering or the nose of the vehicle diving when coming to a stop are just some of the common indicators. Don't forget about the alignment after winter's potholes.
● Lights - Check all your lights. Do you have any burned out or not working?

Remember, If you're unable to perform these maintenance items, we can. Schedule your next oil change and maintenance with us today.

Did you know for St. Patrick's Day:

The DeLorean DMC-12, the car that was featured in the "Back to the Future" movies, was manufactured in a specially built factory in Dunmurry, on the outskirts of Belfast, Northern Ireland, between 1981 and 1982. Funded largely by the British government to create jobs during "The Troubles," the plant employed over 2,000 local workers before the company collapsed and closed.

An oil change is an easy maintenance procedure that keeps engine parts lubricated and maintains fuel economy. Changing oil at recommended maintenance intervals prevents sludge build up. We recommend mileage intervals rather than the vehicles OLM (Oil Life Monitor System).

Motor oil becomes abrasive and dirtier the longer it stays in your engine. This costs you money and overall vehicle longevity. Stick to the maintenance schedule and your vehicle will thank you.
