SSM&M recently had the privilege of working on two outstanding Mustangs, both of which demonstrate exceptional restoration quality and driver performance. Each car boasts unique features; however, they both exhibit the classic Mustang design and performance that enthusiasts have come to expect. The 1966 hardtop model is adorned in Shelby racing colors, paired with a deluxe pony interior and a 302/automatic drivetrain. This vehicle is slated for modern upgrades, including the potential installation of a 4-barrel carburetor or Holley Sniper EFI system to further enhance its performance. The red 1966 Convertible is a testament to the driver's car ideal, providing reliable and smooth performance courtesy of its 250ci inline six cylinder engine. Our team is passionate about Mustangs, as evident from our online portfolio, and we welcome the opportunity to work with owners of 1964.5 and newer models. I would like to take a moment to brag on my guys here at the shop. We had a customer on hard times come in today with a few concerns on their vehicle that the customer just could not afford, couldn't even afford to have it looked at, but was desperate for some insight. After a little diagnosis the guys took it upon themselves to make the most necessary repair to keep the customer on the road safe and reliable. They paid for it out of their own pockets!! Random acts of kindness are not usually a conditioned or learned trait at this stage, but more of an instinct and sign of character. I am proud of all my guys, and these are some of the reasons why. While these opportunities are rare, I am more than happy to see these good deeds for our community, and to share the responsibility we have in making sure everyone in the community gets the same respect and care.

Speedsmith Motors & Marine is looking for an experienced technician to work on both modern vehicles and classic cars. If you enjoy diagnostics, mechanical work, and vintage automotive craftsmanship, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:
-Diagnose and repair late model vehicles
-Perform repair and restoration work on classic cars
-Work on engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems
-Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and wiring diagrams
-Keep the shop clean and communicate timelines clearly

What We’re Looking For:
-3+ years of automotive repair experience (classic car experience a plus)
-Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
-Experience with carbureted and fuel-injected systems
-Own tools and a valid driver’s license
-ASE certifications are a plus, not required

What We Offer:
-Competitive pay based on experience
