So we just had a customer complain about our pricing for our mobile service. Then tried to threaten me with bad reviews and that “He’s going to tell everyone and put me out of business”. Our pricing is no secrete and If you don’t know our pricing and want to find out, it’s really just as simple as asking. We are not ashamed of our pricing. We are cheaper than most other golf cart companies that offer mobile service. We are one of the few in Central Florida that does still offer mobile service. Our service call fee is $95. Our diagnosis fee is $110. The diagnosis fee cover an hour of our time. If we can diagnose the issue faster that doesn’t change the cost I’m sorry. These are the minimum charges to show up and diagnose a golf cart. If you don’t want us to diagnose the cart and say you just call to have us come out and put new batteries in great. You’ll be given pricing for the service call and battery install without the diagnosis fee. Either way we are as fair as possible in our pricing. Our service call fee is the same rather we work on the cart on site or pick it up and bring it back to the shop. If we have to bring your cart to the shop the service call fee covers us delivering it back to you. It’s a one time fee. We do offer a slight discount to Debary Residents on the service call fee. Debary resident service call fee is $60. This is our way of giving back to the community that our shop is located in. We appreciate and value all our customers no matter how close or how far you are from our shop.
Our fees are no different than calling an electrician, plumber, or HVAC tech out to your house. Call around and see what these guys charge to show up and diagnose an issue for you. I bet we are cheaper…
We are not here trying to rip anyone off. We are a small family business doing the best we can to pay our bills and provide a great service.
With all that being said if you don’t know and don’t ask what our pricing is ahead of time that doesn’t give you the right to cuss and scream at my employees or myself because you don’t agree with the cost. I actually was about to tell my technician to waive the service call fee since this gentleman was so upset about the pricing but then he started threatening me and my company and I don’t tolerate that sort of behavior. We don’t bully our customers and we don’t tolerate being bullied by customers. It’s one thing to have a disagreement and talk it out like adults. It’s another to just fly off the handle and throw a temper tantrum like a 5 year old while throwing threats around. I won’t put up with that. If not putting up with that kind of behavior puts me out of business so be it. At least I know I went out of business with dignity and integrity. Being a decent human being and talking to other people like they are human beings is not hard…
BTW everyone knows Fuel prices just jumped. Diesel fuel is over $5 a gallon right now and I haven’t changed my service call fee pricing in over a year….
Rant over.
