We’re looking for a full time Customer Support Representative to add to our team. Don’t worry, dealership experience isn’t required, we’ll teach you everything you need to know! If you enjoy working with people, can work with a computer, and have good writing and communication skills, this position is for you.

We strive to make sure that we meet every customer’s expectation by giving them helpful and honest assistance in choosing the right vehicle and providing outstanding service in every way. Our customer reviews are great, and we’re determined to keep it that way.

A dealership Customer Support Representative helps customers who contact the dealership online, by telephone, or by text message. They make sure that customer inquiries are responded to quickly, answer any questions the customer might have, and help them choose a vehicle from the dealership that meets all their needs.

You’ll be provided with email templates and phone scripts to use when communicating with customers, but you’ll need to be able to personalize them based on your customer. You’ll need to have strong communication skills including solid basic writing ability and be a good listener.

All it takes to do this well is to be courteous, have a positive attitude, be organized, motivated, and have a sincere commitment to helping your customers. Customer service experience is preferred, and call center experience is a plus.

In this month’s Success Hints, we are going to touch on the critical role played by the BDC rep that directly affects the success of an organization. In fact, there is no other role that directly impacts the future prosperity, growth, and overall stability of the company. Without appointments and sales, a company is quickly out of business.

As a BDC rep, you are the dealership’s cheerleader. You are the first point of contact, so you have to make the first good impression. You are not only representing the dealership, but you are providing a picture to the prospect of how the entire buying process will be handled. A few easy gestures that stand out most to a prospect is when you express to them that you have time for them, and you will work for them to provide all the information they are seeking.

When a shopper makes a phone call, or submits an online inquiry, you can bet that they are already well into the decision-making process. They have already educated themselves, and for the most part, think they know what they are looking for. So you, as a BDR need to be one step ahead, and take on the role of advisor that personalizes solutions to their challenges. Don’t just answer questions. Ask questions to find out the needs and wants of the buyer. Then provide them with information that will peak their interest and set the appointment.
